Three years ago Midlake released their sophomore album The Trials of Van Occupanther, one of the most underrated albums of the decade. In a press release yesterday, the band’s label Bella Union squashed the mystery surrounding Midlake’s third album, The Courage of Others. According to the press release, the new album (out February 1st, 2010) has a “definitely British, trad-tainted folk sound” and is “a slower, darker and more carved record [than Van Occupanther], both eerier and dreamier”.
